In Constellation 2025
This piece combines ninefold, tenfold, elevenfold, and twelvefold symmetries into a single composition, exploring the mathematical and symbolic meeting point between these geometric systems.
The layout and colour palette guide the viewer deeper into the underlying structure of the pattern, inviting them to visually wander through the design with slowness and intention. For those new to geometric pattern, the work reveals itself at the pace of the viewer’s curiosity. For experienced pattern analysts, it functions as a structural guidebook to the ruler-and-compass rendering of the design.
Original Work
- In Constellation was rendered with handmade watercolour paints by Beam Paints on animal-free Fabriano watercolour paper. The work measures 28" × 42" (71.12 cm × 106.68 cm), is custom framed under UV preservation glass, and available for acquisition at $6,000.
